| We are pleased to offer prenatal
classes in our office.
Patty Dougherty is a certified childbirth educator and labor coach.
She teaches a two-night comprehensive childbirth preparation course
covering labor, delivery, and birth options, including coaching
techniques, relaxation and breathing, alternative methods (birthball,
acupressure, aromatherapy, massage), C-section, breastfeeding,
and postpartum. Patty is also a prenatal fitness instructor and
teaches an ongoing prenatal class. This class includes low impact
aerobics, muscle toning, light weight training, and supportive
tips and advice for expectant mothers. She is also available for
personal training and private Lamaze classes.
We also offer infant care and parenting classes on site.
Suzanne Einsiedl currently works as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
at a private practice in Redwood City and she teaches infant care
and parenting classes at Women's Care Medical Group. Her classes
include instructions on feeding, diapering and bathing the newborn.
Other topics covered in the class are infant safety, signs of
illness and adjustment to parenthood. Suzanne began her nursing
career working in pediatrics and the newborn nursery at Sequoia
Hospital. She obtained her Master's Degree from the University
of California, San Francisco specializing in pediatrics. |
