Dr. Wong is a general obstetrician/gynecologist recently joining the Women’s Care Medical Group. Born and raised in Kentucky, she witnessed the practice of rural, holisitic medicine which has shaped her desire to deliver high quality, comprehensive care to women.

Dr. Wong received a BA in Psychology, graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Washington University in St. Louis.  She returned to her “bluegrass” roots to pursue a medical degree, graduating with honors at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Wong completed her obstetrics/gynecology residency at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara where she received recognition for clinical patient care, teaching, community service, and advanced surgical skills in minimally invasive approaches including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy.

During her medical training, she spent several months abroad devoted to medical and surgical volunteer work in Mexico and Guatemala.  In addition to learning the challenges and rewards of working within low resource areas, the experience further reinforced her commitment in effective communication, in order to integrate culturally sensitive issues within a diverse population. 

On a personal note, together with her husband, Dietrich, they enjoy traveling (recently visiting areas in South America and Eastern Europe), never taking for granted living in the Bay Area, they hike, camp, snowboard, and play with their chocolate Labrador, BB.

Dr. Wong speaks conversational Cantonese and medical Spanish. Dr. Wong looks forward to the privilege of taking care of you.
